Viral Video Marketing

Marketing is all about getting attention and the ones who have mastered this feat are able to build a vast online following. This can be tricky since the Internet audience consists of a sea of generations with different habits of absorbing information.

Being raised with printed media such as newspapers, magazines and books has made the mature Internet surfers browse and read more text then the younger generations who may not remember a world before the web. Internet users in this age group require fast and easy media. If it doesn’t catch their attention in the first 8 seconds the viewer will become bored and move on to something else.

This makes online video one of the most effective tools for creating buzz in the Internet marketing world and roping those viewers in. The instant popularity of a video can make it go viral through the use of social media, email and word of mouth. A more in depth description of this technique can be found below.

A brand, product or person can be catapulted into instant fame once a video has been found, passed around, and talked about. It must have the elements that make it attractive to its target audience. Getting it found is easy enough with social media but it must be entertaining enough to make the viewer share the video with others.

This can be accomplished in a variety of ways using humor, graphics, knowledge of a skill or task, surveys or quizzes and music, just to name a few. It should be simple, short and friendly with a specific objective in mind. Remember, it has to get their attention within the first 8 seconds or they are not likely to finish watching it or more importantly, sharing it in their social network.

Developing the project is as simple as using a smartphone or digital recorder. Additionally, there is editing software available to create the desired effects in attracting the targeted audience. Once this is completed, the video can be easily uploaded to any social media outlet such as YouTube. However, don’t stop at only making one kind of video. Your chances of going viral are dramatically increased if several videos are prepared using a variety of techniques to make each of them entertaining in their own way.

Now, let’s get into the details. As we know, there are many social media resources accessible for marketing a product. YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, email, and blogs have all been used successfully for internet marketing. When posting a video on YouTube, there are several important strategies to increase on-page optimization.

An engaging title and description are two areas that are often overlooked. Another mistake often made is neglecting to comment or reply to viewers comments. Encouraging your viewers to comment, like, or subscribe will improve the video’s ranking. There should also be a link to your website as well as tags with keywords to help get ranked higher in search engine results.

Off-page optimization is more focused on link building using social media marketing and blogging. This technique is called backlinking and requires text to be written with opportunities within the content to link back to the product being marketed. The importance here is to connect your link to high profile and popular articles to increase its visibility.

Utilizing these current trends in marketing is important. If going viral is the goal, using video and social media is a must. It doesn’t have to be fancy, as long as your content is interesting and relevant. In the end, as the old saying goes, content is still king.

Hi!
I agree a lot of people are getting famous because of their videos. They get
spread through social networking site. There is a lot of competition all over
the world but as you said if you will be able to catch their attention within
the first 8 seconds. The next thing that will happen is they will share it and
more viewers for you.

Video marketing is a must nowadays. A lot of people don’t want to read a very long blog or article. They are fond of watching and hearing it instead.
